Woody Allen was born in New York in 1935. After writing sketches for television, he became well known as a comedian, screenwriter, actor and director. His more than 30 films include Take the Money and Run, Annie Hall, Manhattan, Hannah and Her Sisters, Crimes and Misdemeanors, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Deconstructing Harry, Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Sex, But Were Afraid to Ask, Zelig, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Midnight in Paris, Blue Jasmine and Cafe Society.
